Melissa Simmonds is the owner/designer of a small and personal stationary business called the lead pencil. She is inspired by all beautiful paper products and the small pleasures that they give.

Melissa works with her customers in great detail to come up with a style or images that reflect what they are about. Weddings are an area with many facets and I enjoy pulling all the parts together to reflect a common theme.
"My passion has been instilled into our two daughters Ruby & Edie. They have pots of seriously sharpened pencils and piles of their own personalised paper. Often I will find them sitting in a sunny spot writing to their nan or to friends"

Melissa , when not designing or printing she is a teacher, taking care of her two divine girls, laughing with her husband, catching up with her great friends, listening to music and drinking good coffee.
